The Illusion of the Perfect Moment

Hey there,

Have you ever caught yourself waiting for the perfect moment to start?

You map out every scenario in your mind, trying to predict the ideal conditions. You tell yourself, “I’ll go for it when I have more time, more confidence, more certainty.” And so, you wait.

And wait.

But here’s the truth: the perfect moment doesn’t appear before you start.

It reveals itself because you start.

Right now, you might be standing at the base of what feels like a mountain, overwhelmed by the thought of climbing.

But once you take that first step, the path begins to clear. It’s never as steep as it seemed from the bottom.

It's the illusion of the perfect moment.

So, how do you break free from the endless loop of overthinking and finally take action?

Start by Seeing Your Thoughts Differently

When ideas, doubts, and worries are swirling in your mind, they feel chaotic. But when you put them on paper, they transform.

What once felt like a tangled mess becomes something you can see, sort, and act on.

This is the power of Visual Thinking.

Here’s how to start:

  1. Dump it all out – Write down every idea, every fear, every obstacle. Get it out of your head and onto paper.

  2. Find patterns – When you see it all in front of you, you’ll notice things aren’t as complicated as they seemed.

  3. Simplify the next step – What’s one small action you can take today? Circle it, highlight it, and do it.

  4. Shift your perception – The more you see your thoughts, the more manageable they become. What once felt impossible now feels doable.

You don’t need the perfect plan.

You just need to start. And once you do, you’ll realize—it was never as hard as you made it out to be.

So, what’s that one step you’ve been putting off?

Write it down. See it differently. And then… go for it.

You've got this.

Cheers,

Loes
